The Marriage of George’s Aunt Sarah
Sarah Dixon, the daughter of Joe Dixon (Sr.) and Grace Shaw Dixon, and the sister of Joe Dixon, (Jr.), was wed to Mr. C.M. Crawford. There are several mentions in the paper in the ensuing years about Mr. Crawford’s sawmill operation as he would move it from one location to another to do jobs.
On November 10, 1887 there was an announcement that “... C.M. Crawford will move his sawmill to C.E. Robinson’s farm for an all-winter job.”
On December 1, 1887 the paper reported that C.M. Crawford and his brother F.F. Crawford were “... starting this week to S.W. Missouri to find a location for a sawmill.”
