Curt shared a wonderful photo of his dad, my Uncle Warren Thacker. This picture was taken at his service station in Anderson, before the move to Spencer.
Uncle Warren has movie style looks to this day. I think this picture could go into a photographic art collection. I'm not sure who will take credit for snapping the photo!
Curt just took a "picture" of the picture with his digital camera. That may be the clue to digitizing a lot of our historic family photos. It certainly is the easiest, and quickest, way to send me pictures to add to the our family history blog!
We'll have more on Uncle Warren soon... including his military service, service station stories, his second career at Sears in Bloomington, and life on the farm with Aunt Wilma and the boys.
Five kids. Wow! Of course, some of those older generations had almost twice that many. Times have changed.

Randy Huntsinger took this picture of Dad. Randy's family lived near the station, and he would walk over every few days to visit. He and Rich were about the same age. Randy was a camera buff and became quite good at photography. He would often take a picture when the person was unaware, so the photos were more natural. Thanks Randy for this great picture. Curt T
