Old IU

Indiana University is a very important part of Dixon family history.

Ever since Lee, Teri, Kent, Wayne and Tonia went there in the 70's, a love of IU has been passed from generation to generation, even though some children of the baby boomers have never lived in the state.

Purdue and other schools are important too, but those alumni will have to supply me with some detail to get a posting here on the blog.

The pictures above show alumni kids visiting Assembly Hall.

Top: Erin, Alyson, Katie and Michael take in a game. Notice the mixture of 70's style " Big Red" attire and the old as new "Crimson" colors. Alyson and Michael were forc....er, um... fulfilled their lifelong dreams of attending IU!

Middle: Alex and Erin pose with a famous IU alumnus.

Bottom: Randy and Deanna, a couple of Florida Gators, make the pilgrimage to Assembly Hall for a game. Hey, we almost won back to back National Championships too!

I don't know if they ran into Martha while they were in the building, but they probably heard an echo of her rousing rendition of the IU fight song!
