I continue to talk about every six weeks or so with Lois Goodson, our relative and the moving force behind the Edwards County Historical Society in Albion. I asked Lois to send me a picture so that I could add it to the blog and she sent me an older picture a few months ago. I never got around to adding it and it's just as well. She recently sent me an up-to-date picture of herself along with her Albion buddies.... the Smerdon girls. They all grew up together. The Smerdon girls were the daughter of Della Dixon's sister... the person we know as "Aunt Emily".
It looks like the picture was taken in "geneology central", just one of the rooms at Lois' house that has volumes of geneology research and materials.
Lois has survived her cataract surgeries... looks like most of us baby boomers have that to look forward to... and the winter weather this year.
You can tell from the picture that these girls can still have fun when they get together!
Left to right in the photo are Margaret Ruth, Ethel, Lois and Helen.
