Cousin Ray

This is a picture of Ray Elliot (facing, in the yellow shirt). The Elliot boys... Bob, Vernon and Ray... are the sons of Uncle Virgil and Aunt Vera Fisher Elliot. His mom was my grandmother's sister Vera. The Elliot boys are all cousins of Wilma, Jerry, Jim and Don.

I have been emailing Bob, the oldest brother, who lives in Williamsburg, Virginia. He is retired, but loves the game of golf and coordinates the marshalls for the annual LPGA tournament in the area. I believe he can claim to have "shot his age" for a few years. He also has done work on family geneology.

Vernon is Uncle Don's age and he lives in Marshall, Michigan.

Ray, the youngest of the Elliot boys, sat on my left during my morning in Albion. He also plays a little golf, and obviously keeps in shape. Ray shared some copies of family history materials with me and indicated that he has old 8mm films, some of which are of old Fisher family gatherings. We discussed the possibility of transferring these old home movies to digital format. Several folks at the table expressed interest in the idea. My in-laws had old home movies and they had them transferred to VHS tape several years ago.
