Cousin Margaret Ruth

This is Margaret Ruth Ellis, cousin to Wilma, Jerry, Jim and Don. She is daughter of Della's sister "Aunt Emily" Smerdon. Ethel and Helen are her sisters.

Margaret Ruth sat near me at the table all morning during my Albion visit. She brought several pictures that I was able to copy and snap with the digital camera. She also helped lead me around the Golden Gate neighborhood, including the Fisher homestead and the Bethel Church cemetery near Ellery, where several Fisher ancestors are buried.

The picture with Margaret Ruth and Faye reminds me that they seemed to be good friends... as though they were cousins themselves... although they aren't related. Faye is from the Dixon clan (her mom being George's little sister Lucy Dixon Perkins) while Margaret Ruth is from the Fisher clan (her mom being Della's little sister Emily Fisher Smerdon. They both were very kind to me during my visit! And they are both cousins of Wilma, Jerry, Jim and Don.
