John Fredrick Fisher, was the father of John Rudolph "Rude" Fisher, and the paternal grandfather of my grandmother Della Fisher Dixon. Rude was her father. (Rude was "Grandpa Fisher" to Wilma, Jerry, Jim and Don)
John was born on Christmas Day, 1846. He died September 7, 1931. (Note: This is not long after George and Della Fisher Dixon, my grandparents, moved from Albion to Anderson, Indiana.)
He married Elizabeth Walters and had five children.
William Fredrick, the eldest son was born May 1, 1871 and died June 26, 1957.
Herman Edward was born September 16, 1872 and died May 26, 1967.
John Rudolph was born May 19, 1875 and died February 13, 1957.
Charles Conrad was born June 10, 1877 and died October 25, 1965.
Ralph (no date of birth or death) died at age 4.
John Rudolph (Rude) Fisher married Marinda Bell, and later Maude Bell. He had 4 daughters with Marinda, including my grandmother Della. He also had one daughter, Ina, with his second wife Maude.
Charles (Charlie) Fisher married Fannie Pierce, and they had three daughters, including Edith (maybe Edythe) Procter (Melvin), Elizabeth Bassket (Hubbard) and Evelyn Cooksey (Jack).
Herman Fisher married Lida (maybe Lydia) and had four children, including Roy, Arlie, Naaman and Murvin.
William Fisher, married Jesse Hemp and had the following children: Bessie Neal (Kenny), Gladys Harmon (Bill), Tracy Jones (Ariel), Edna Johnson (Charlie), and Dewey Fisher (Judy). William and Jesse are buried near his brother Rude at Bethel Cemetery.
Ralph Fisher died at age 4.
Half-sister to Rude (and Charles and Herman and William and Ralph) was Katie Fisher, who married Clarence Green. Their children included Max, Deleous (maybe Delitis), Jack, Bob, and Archie Green and Edith Green Lamar.
The information listed above was taken from three different typed and handwritten single page documents given to me on my visit to Albion in July 2008.
